It’s Time!

Well everyone, here we are. We’ve officially made it to SEPTEMBER! I don’t know how this year has gone by this quickly, but it really feels like this year was shorter. Maybe it’s to make up for the mess that was 2020? Who knows, I’m not going to complain.

Since we’re in September, you know what that means…

That’s right. I’m calling it.

IT’S FALL, Y’ALL.

Yes, yes, I know fall technically doesn’t start until September 22nd in the northern hemisphere, and yes I currently hear the cicadas screaming outside my window. Yeah, and guess what? I. Don’t. Care. We’ve all had a tough go of it the last year and a half, and we all deserve to have whatever happiness we can get.

That means this weekend, I’ll be baking my Dutch Apple cake, I’ll light my fall candles (though not all at once, because that will give me a headache), and even though it’ll be 90+ degrees out, I might wear a sweatshirt. Because it all makes me happy. Heck, maybe I’ll watch Practical Magic and drink tea while wrapped in blankets.

This is the season where I really thrive. After this summer, I’m ready to move on to fall, cooler weather, and everything else it brings.

Now where did I put that Pumpkin Spice latte?
